The 36th Annual "Early Farm Days"

Event Date: Sunday, September 12, 2010
Location: River Hill Park, Kewaskum

KEWASKUM HISTORICAL SOCIETY, INC PRESENTS THE 36TH ANNUAL "EARLY FARM DAYS"

 

SEPTEMBER 12TH, 2010 - 10 AM TO 4 PM.  FEATURING - MODEL T

 

Showing - gas & steaming engines, model engines, old farm equipment, antique vehicles, and working displays of threshing, and sawing demonstrations.  View the award - Winning museum and reconstructed 1847 log cabin.  Horse drawn wagon rides provided by Kettle Moraine Carriages.  Charcoal grilled burgers and hot dogs, Homemade desserts and refreshments, *Carry outs and whole pies available.  Commemorative collector buttons available for a $1.00 donation.  All money collected during the event goes to support the museum & log cabin.

 

Location: Kewaskum, WI.  At the 3rd stop light take Main Street (Hwy 28) to the East 3 blocks to Parkview Drive.  Turn right on the west side of River Hill Park.  We are situated next to the Milwaukee River at 1202 Parkview Drive.

The Challenge Walk MS

Event Date: Friday, September 24, 2010
Location: Door County
The Challenge Walk MS is a three day experience where participants walk 50 miles in the Door County Area. This year there is also a 30 mile option available. The Challenge Walk MS is from September 24-26, 2010. For more information email challengewalkms@wisms.org or call (800) 242-3358.

Kewaskum Junior Womens Club Rotisserie Dinner

Event Date: Sunday, September 26, 2010
Location: Kewaskum Municipal Annex
Join the Kewaskum Junior Women for an amazing chicken dinner!  Kewaskum Annex Building , 1308 Fond du Lac Avenue on Sunday, September 26th.  Cost $9 each or $10 at the door.  Tickets available at Miller’s Furniture, westbury Bank and Herriges Oil.  Doors open at 11am until 4pm.

October, 2010

17th Annual KEYS 5K Run & Walk

Event Date: Sunday, October 10, 2010
Location: Kewaskum High School

Event features a 5K (3.1 Mile) run and walk on a new safer course, 9:00-10:30 am Packet Pickup and Race Day Registration.  Race starting at 11 a.m. at Kewaskum High School, 1510 Bilgo Lane, Kewaskum.

Cash Prizes and medals to top three male and female runners 1st.- $100, 2nd-$75, 3rd - $50. (No specific awards for race walkers.)  $200 Bonus for new 5K Record (male and female).  Refreshments available after race. A free run for kids 5 and younger will be at noon.

Registration fees are $15 for individuals and $50 for a family of four; fee on race day is $20 for individuals. Pre-register by September 24th to ensure a T-shirt.  Proceeds fund educational scholarships for Kewaskum High School graduates. Croptoberfest (All Day Scrap)

Location: Kewaskum Municipal Annex

Christmas Parade

Event Date: Sunday, December 05, 2010
Location: Main Street

The KACC sponsors the annual Christmas parade with floats, music and fun for all.  For those who frequent the Kewaskum Christmas Parade each year, the date to circle is Sunday, December 5th, at 5 p.m..

 

Those wishing to have floats should contact Mike Geidel at (262) 626-1778 or he can be emailed to mikegeidel@kewaskumpig.com or download an application on the chamber website (closer to the parade date).  (Be sure to stick around for the Village Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony immediately following the parade at the Kewaskum Village Annex building.)
